Appropriating the Appropriated

Richard Prince is known as the master appropriator. In 2014, he composed an art show entirely of blown-up photos taken from his Instagram feed. The photos showing mostly young women often in seductive or vulnerable poses, come from several accounts: the pin-up community Suicide Girls, sex writer Karley Sciortino, and musician Sky Ferreira.

In this work I appropriate the appropriator and create my
own commentary by contrasting the picture of the women
in Prince's 'feed' with fresh meat.
